A.V. Education Society began its journey in 1967 with 50 children and a rented house in Jayanagar. Smt. Ambuja Venkataraman, the Founder Secretary, grew up in a time when education was available mainly to the rich. Having seen a lot of suffering and poverty around her and seeing what changes education could bring about in their lives she was very keen to have a job-oriented high school mainly to help the poor gain employment without having to spend time and money on education.

BGSNPS is founded by Pontiff His Holiness Jagadguru Sri Sri Sri Balagangadaranatha Swamiji of Adhichunchanagiri Math, who over the past has strived hard to promote educational institutions of international stature. Sri Adhichunchanagiri education trust is running over 350 educational institutions including Medical and Engineering colleges.

A high-quality education is one of the most important things that we can provide a child. Exposure to a variety of topics, people, and adventures all contribute to a fulfilling school experience.

Carmel Convent School was founded in 1970 for the benefit of the children of Jayanagar and the neighbouring extensions. The school is recognized by the Department of Public Instruction, Karnataka State. The school year begins in June.

Today, our school has a strength of around 754 students, a team of well qualified efficient, experienced and dedicated staff of 20 teachers, 6 non-teaching staff working under the able guidance of the headmistress Sister Maria Priya A.C, an efficient administrator committed to her mission.

Clarence High School is a minority institution founded in 1914 by the Redwood brothers, Alfred and Walter. and named after their own school in Somerset, U.K. The founders’ vision was to provide a sound education based on Christian principles which would result in an all round development of the student. Mr. P.K. Bheemaiah, a social worker turned educationist is the founding father of this school.
