A.V. Education Society began its journey in 1967 with 50 children and a rented house in Jayanagar. Smt. Ambuja Venkataraman, the Founder Secretary, grew up in a time when education was available mainly to the rich. Having seen a lot of suffering and poverty around her and seeing what changes education could bring about in their lives she was very keen to have a job-oriented high school mainly to help the poor gain employment without having to spend time and money on education.
That the present education system is hardly adequate to equip the students to face the challenges of a fast changing modern world is an undeniable fact.
