The History usually mirrors the life and activity of the Institution during the preceding year. Speaking of the past, we are filled with admiration and gratitude for those stalwarts of a byegone age: the Fathers of the Paris Foreign Mission. Imbued with vision and foresight, iron will and steely determination, unflagging zeal and dauntless courage, they planted a seed in the “Garden” on St. John’s Hill, nurtured it through the years, and, when the time was ripe, transplanted it to an imposing building, which is now St. Joseph’s College, PUC Section. They were men of deep faith and bard toil, all of them: Vissac and Browne, Froger and Veysseyre, Blaise and Michel, and the great Aucouturier. We salute these giants and place on record our abiding gratitude. When the Fathers of the Society of Jesus, who are managing the School, at present, took it over in 1937, they were faced with the daunting challenge of living up to the high standards set by their predecessors. It is a matter of joy for us to know that during these odd years, we have tried hard, and to a great extent succeeded in meeting that challenge. It has been for us a thrilling adventure as thrilling as the task of an athlete determined to break records. Some records we ourselves have set, and some set by others before us, we have broken.
Education is a light that shows the mankind the right direction to Surge. The purpose of education is not just making a child literate. Education adds rationality to ones thinking, makes one knowledgeable and self sufficient.
If education fails to inculcate self-discipline and commitment to achieve in the minds of children,it is not their fault.The school the teachers and parents are responsible for not giving the child quality education.

As the words itself suggests, Bachpan refers to early childhood and Play school education is a phase of introducing children to fundamental learning through the use of a medium that is engaging, less straining and more recreational in nature.
We, at BACHPAN, realise that the child’s time spent with us is vital to initiate his/her intellectual and spiritual growth. We make a sincere effort in ensuring that the quality of Pre- school Education is upheld across each of our branches through enrolling the best and most experienced Educators and employing the most innovative teaching aids, both classroom-study and outdoor-activities based.
We pride ourselves on the fact that within a short span of time our network of branches has grown to more than 350, which in itself is an Education segment benchmark. However, we have made sure that our expansion hasn’t come at the cost of making compromises on the quality of our Play school programme and this is what has helped achieve an enviable reputation as the nation’s leading chain of Play schools.
Gitanjali Primary School was founded in April 1985. It is located at Begumpet in Hyderabad. It has about 12000 sq.yds. of land with 26000 sft. Built up area has a separate building for the Nursery, Pre-Primary and Primary sections, with a strength of 900 students.
